Oh Family Reunions

I absolutely LOVED the Davis Family Celebration. I wished I could have been more apart of it but the parts that I was there for was awesome! DANG FINALS! I decided that my cousins have some of the cutest kids I have ever seen!

Serving a Mission

I wanted to share my thoughts really quick on the new adventure I am taking on this next year. Ever since I turned 21 in January I have been trying to figure out what would be right for me. I knew that I really wanted to do the director position so I applied for it just to see if that is where the Lord wanted me to be. After my interview I recieved this email from my new Area Director.

Courtney,
I am sorry to inform you that you have been selected as the next director of Talent Performance for summer semester.
Did I trick you? I am hoping I did for the first like 5 words.....
CONGRATULATIONS! You are our next director!
Your name has already been put into the system, for almost an hour now! ha ha.
To give you an idea of what went on, we had three people apply for the position. None of us that were doing the interviews really had any idea for sure of who would fill the position before we started the interviews. But after we got off the phone with you, we all knew for sure. I commented to Sis Powell and Shanea "you know, you always pray to have a spiritual notification of who to pick, and I think we received that today."
As you commented about how this is where you think you should be right now, I think this is where the Lord would have you be right now.

How amazing is that? Sister Powell told me the whole semester that she had never had it personally confirmed to her that I needed to be at school. I know think that the director position was given to me to help me for a mission. A lot of the things I learned this past semester has confirmed to me my next step in life and I believe a mission is it. SO the papers are going in by September. Its amazing how the church is really true and that our Heavenly Father really answers our prayers.

Its been a LONG time...

I was reminded of the need for me to be better about blogging from my dear aunt Missy so I got back on here and fixed everything. SO lets see since my past blog I have had another semester. I just finished up the summer semester and survived! Yay! I had great roommates and it was a very chill semester. I also was able to be a Director for Talent Activities. Basically at BYU Idaho they have an activities program that has different kinds of sections in it. (Outdoor, Sports, Talent, Service, and Social.) In each section there are Area Directors and Directors that run the whole program. It was an amazing experience for me and I really enjoyed doing it. Other than that here are some pictures from the semester!
